I graduated from William & Mary with my Bachelors in English and Secondary Education. I began my career as a teacher in Newport News Public Schools before transitioning to private education. I currently teach high school English courses, am an assistant tennis coach, and lead the Youth Volunteer Corps club at my school. After volunteering with Bacon Street for a year in the development and prevention departments and completing an internship, I chose to join the board to further promote Bacon Street’s mission. I have had previous service experience leading a virtual Kiwanis club, publishing articles for a nonprofit newspaper, and assisting with a variety of community events.
