Substance Use Counseling

Bacon Street Youth and Family Services offers substance use counseling to our clients using clinically proven effective methods that are client-focused and individualized in their therapy.

The overall goal of our substance abuse counseling program is to help youth and their families develop the skills they need to manage feelings and behaviors without using drugs or alcohol. 

We aim to build rapport, trust, and honest therapeutic relationships with anyone struggling with substance use who is ready to be empowered and make positive change in their life.  

Our substance use counseling services primarily serve those ages 14-26 and their families, addressing the unique developmental realities and special treatment needs of this age group.

We meet teens and families where they are in a person-centered, compassionate, non-judgmental, way. Several evidence-based therapies and interventions are provided, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Seeking Safety, and Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention.

We have offices in Williamsburg, Newport News, and Gloucester and offer virtual sessions.
