Meet Our Board, 2024-2025

Becky Boxx, President

Becky comes to Bacon Street with years of working in the field of addiction and recovery services. Her journey started after she realized her beautiful 18-year-old daughter had been introduced to Percocet and was depending on it to get through her day. Becky quickly realized this was something she knew nothing about except what she saw on tv and movies. So, she got busy trying to educate herself any way she could. For the average person it was not easy. But fortunately, she was referred to a local non-profit that had a support group for parents with a child suffering with Substance Use Disorder. From there, she not only learned all she could regarding addiction, but Becky was hired by the non-profit as their Chief Operations officer and took on the role of Family support. She has since been educated as a Peer Recovery Specialist and a Grief Recovery Method Specialist. She also has a special interest in a program called “Invitation to Change”, which she hopes to bring to Bacon Street. Unfortunately, these are both areas Becky has lived experience with, as her daughter Katie died in 2019 from fentanyl poisoning. You will quickly find after meeting her she has worked very hard to find the joy of living again and has so many loves and interests that it is hard to put them all down here. I will say she is crazy about Orchids and gardening, as well as Pilates. But her real loves are her husband Eric, their dog Curry and, topping the list, their 11-month-old grandson Miles. Oh yeah, and fashion and AMAZON!

Coleman Conner, Vice President

Coleman Conner is a passionate daughter, mother, grandmother, and wife, and these roles are what inspired her to become part of the Bacon Street board in 2025. After the sale of her husband’s landscape maintenance business, for which she managed the office for nearly 25 years, she embarked on a new career in Government contracting in 2023. Her current position as Vice President has stretched her horizons beyond anything she anticipated, and she hopes to share her organizational skills with the Bacon Street organization. When not at work, you can find Coleman one of two places: on the water with her family, or at the barn with her horses!

Cynthia Favret, Secretary

Dr. Cynthia Favret is a licensed clinical psychologist who has largely retired after 45 years of clinical practice working in the forensic arena on the Federal, state, and local levels. Although she was born and schooled in Ohio (Kent State!), she has lived the majority of her life in the most beautiful Commonwealth of Virginia. She is also the parent to a young adult with autism and an intellectual disability who lives between his home in Williamsburg and his services in Richmond. She spends the majority of her spare time cleaning up after her rescue dog, Weezer.

Teri Morgan, Treasurer

Teri and her husband moved to Williamsburg in 2017 when she retired from her career in management for a regional healthcare company. In her career, she had extensive experience in managing staff, operations, and budgets. She was responsible for developing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and developing and implementing operational programs. Having a science-based career, and learning that her son was struggling with substance use, she started a search to find a way to help him. In this search, Teri has explored various types of support groups for families. She is grateful for educational opportunities that have given her a better understanding of the whys of substance misuse, the impact on the whole family, and how a family member can shift behavior towards hope. As her son was finding his own recovery, she worked to build understanding, recovery, and peace in herself. Teri has immense compassion for individuals and families on this journey. She intends to serve on the Board of Directors for Bacon Street in the capacity of a family member with lived experience so that BSYFS can continue to provide support, education, and hope to individuals and their families.

Alexa Faithful, Advisory Council

Alexa is originally from Tampa, FL and moved to Williamsburg with her family in 2005. She and her husband, Drew Faithful have two children, Allyson age 16 and Elias age 10, and a chihuahua named Dolly. Alexa is a reputable Mortgage Broker here in Williamsburg, and is well known as a trusted “go-to” for all things related to Real Estate Lending. Her husband Drew is a local Web Designer for small to medium size businesses.

Alexa’s hobbies include fitness, hiking, taking trips with her family, and volunteering. She and her husband also enjoy rescuing and fostering dogs from different local rescue groups. Alexa joined Bacon Street as a Board Member after a long and difficult road of mental health struggles with their eldest daughter. Through their experience, it became clear that there was an overwhelming need for mental health services for young people and their families here in the Williamsburg area and beyond. She hopes to make a positive impact as well as help other families that are going through a similar experience.
