Media Policy

At Bacon Street, we are committed to protecting the confidentiality of our clients and their families. Reporters, film crews, and photographers must be accompanied by a Bacon Street staff member at all times. On-site interviews must be arranged in advance.

Upon first reference, please use “Bacon Street Youth and Family Services,” and “Bacon Street” thereafter. Please identify staff members by their full names and titles.

Under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996, client information cannot be made available to the media without written consent of the client or their parent or guardian, in the case of a minor. Individuals may only be photographed if they or their parent or guardian have signed a release form.
