William D.
"Sandy" Fagan
Sandy Fagan has been involved with the Bacon Street
organization since its founding in 1971, and has spent his entire adult
life fighting youth substance abuse. He served as a volunteer and Board
Member until 1974 when he joined the staff as a Counselor. After serving as
Clinical Supervisor for a year, Fagan was named Executive Director in 1977.
Prior to joining the Bacon Street staff, Fagan served in the United States
Army as an Infantry Officer, and worked for the Department of Defense
developing substance abuse programs for military dependents. He has served
as a consultant to numerous organizations in both the public and private
sectors including school divisions, universities, police departments, AT&T
and Lucent Technologies.
Fagan holds both Bachelors and Masters degrees from the College of William
and Mary and resides in James City County, Virginia. He has three children,
Madison, Will, and Alec.
Robert Coleman
Bob joined the Bacon Street counseling staff in
1977 and was appointed Clinical Supervisor in 1980. He maintains three
licenses from the Virginia Department of Health as a Professional
Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, and Substance Abuse Treatment
Practitioner. In addition to his work at
the Bacon Street Center, Bob has been in part-time private practice in
Newport News and Williamsburg since 1981. He also actively serves on
the College of William and Mary's Counselor Education Advisory Board,
the Virginia Community Services Boards Adolescent Substance Abuse
Treatment Coalition, the Historic Triangle Substance Abuse Coalition's
Treatment Committee, and the Crossroads Community Youth Home's Admission
and Release Committee.
Bob resides in
Williamsburg with his wife, Debbie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker,
and their dog, Pete. He has two daughters. Lindsay is a
Nationally Certified School Psychologist, and Chelsea is a senior at
Randolph-Macon College.
Away from the office, Bob
can be found swimming, bicycling, and running. Participating in the
sport of Triathlon since 1997, he successfully completed the Ford
Florida Ironman in 2005.
Laura Townsend, M. Ed.
L.P.C, L.M.F.T, L.S.A.T.P
Laura Townsend has been employed with Bacon Street since 1979, following her
graduation from The College of William and Mary. She is licensed by
the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Professional Counselor, a Marriage and
Family Counselor and as a Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner.
While over the course of her career she has functioned in several capacities
with the program, at present she is primarily doing assessments of the
consumers.
Cindy Palmaz,
M.S.Ed.
L.P.C, L.M.F.T, L.S.A.T.P, NCC
Cindy graduated from Old
Dominion University in 1997 with a masters degree in education. She became
licensed as a professional counselor in 1999, a marriage and family
therapist in 2002, and a substance abuse treatment practitioner in 2002.
Cindy has worked at Bacon Street for over 10 years and currently serves as
the Intensive Outpatient Program Coordinator. In 2002, Cindy began a
part-time private practice and also works part-time as a massage therapist.
 Annie Tellier, M.S.
A.P.A, Psi Chi
Annie received her Masters of
Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University in 2005.
Annie is also a member of the American Psychological Association (APA) and
has been working in the field of mental health and substance abuse for over
9 years. Annie has worked extensively in crisis intervention and with
individuals diagnosed with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression,
anxiety, ADHD, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Her role at
Bacon Street includes providing individual, group, and family
counseling/education services for adolescents and their families. Annie
received her BA in Psychology from University of California at Davis and is
a member of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology
 Jonathan Jenkins, M. Ed.
NCC
Jonathan
Jenkins is a "local" counselor here at Bacon Street, having grown up
in Williamsburg. He received his Master of Education degree from the
College of William and Mary through the Community and Addictions
Counseling program. He is also a Nationally Certified Counselor.
Jonathan received his BA in Psychology from Randolph-Macon College.
Lauren
Mullenax, M. Ed.
Lauren Mullenax has been with Bacon Street since January 2006 as a practicum
student and intern from the College of William and Mary School of Education.
She has been a full time employee with Bacon Street since August 2007.
Prior to starting her position as a counselor at Bacon Street, she received
her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the College of William and
Mary in May of 2005. She then went on to receive her M.Ed from The College
William and Mary with an emphasis in Community and Addictions Counseling in
May of 2007. She is presently completing her residency to obtain her L.P.C.
Lauren works closely with the 9th District Court Services Unit as an
Adolescent Substance Abuse Screener. She facilitates the Substance Abuse
Education Group for the 9th District Court Services Unit in Juvenile
Services. She is also a co-facilitator of Parenting with Love and Limits
Susan Meadows
Susan received her Master's Degree in Education from The College of William and Mary in 2002. She became licensed as a professional counselor in 2008 in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and certified as a professional counselor by the National Board of Counselors in 2006. She has been with Bacon Street since 2001, and provides group co-facilitating for the Parenting with Love and Limits and Anger Management groups.
Susan holds certifications in The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, and Scott Sell's Parenting with Love and Limits (Savannah Institute). She has extensive training in Moreno's Psychodrama, and is affiliated with the Dr. E.M. Shearon's Institute for PsychoDrama headquartered in Cologne Germany.
Susan also has a lengthy involvement with Health Care. She holds licenses from Virginia as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse, and earned her Master's in Science from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1993, her Bachelor's in Psychology from The University of Illinois in 1981 and her Bachelor's of Science (Nursing) from Northwestern University (Chicago) in 1980. Currently she teaches at The Commonwealth of Virginia University's School of Nursing, and holds a staff position at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals in Richmond.
Away from the office, the school, and the hospital, she can be found happily exercising in the form of gardening around her home, having fun with family and friends, attending church, enjoying her animals, and traveling when opportunities arise.

Jacquie is an integral part of Bacon Street.
She has been with Bacon Street since 2004. She is the friendly
voice that answers the phone and the smiling face that greets you
when you walk through the door.
